POETRY

Poem: “Ode to Robert Frost”

some say the world will end in fire,
some say in ice.
from what I’ve tasted of desire,
I surely wish I’d tasted twice
if I’m to die in burning flame
or Winter’s spice.

but if my choice proved me a liar,
I think I’ve seen enough of hate
to say I’d surely welcome fire.
though, true, it may not ring so nice,
to spare us hate,
I’d perish twice.
